Ductless Air Conditioning

Traditionally, your choice of air conditioning systems would consist of window-mounted or central air units. Each, however, has its drawbacks. Window units are bulky, they block the view, and street-level units can be removed, leaving your building exposed to entry. Central systems require a duct network, and generally only cool rooms to a standard temperature. So, what’s the solution?

Style

Stylish, slim and elegant, ductless air conditioners are cooling-only wall mounted units designed for single rooms.  Indoor units have a clean, aesthetic design and are small but mighty and short in length, helping them blend into any room. Ideal for spaces requiring additional capacity but are limited on space.  The flexibility of the variable speed compressor helps systems adapt to shifts in heat load by additional guests or afternoon sun.

Easy Installation

The main difference between a ductless system and a traditional central system is the absence of ducts to distribute the air. This is significant, especially for locations without existing ductwork. Ductless systems consist of two units, the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, which are connected by two refrigerant lines running through a small 10 cm opening in the wall or ceiling. Installation is easy: simply mount the indoor and outdoor units, connect the refrigerant line and make the needed electrical connections to power the system.

Energy Efficient

Because there are no ducts, ductless systems lose less than 5% cooling vs. up to 40% for traditional forced-air systems. Increased efficiencies up to 26-SEER mean lower utility bills.  Several models are even Energy Star Qualified, meaning they save you on your utility bill.

Flexibility

What sets a ductless system apart from others is that it can work around you and your needs.  For instance, installation flexibility means you can place the indoor unit anywhere in the room – over windows, doors or in an unused corner – where it blends into the room and stays out of the way. The easy-to-use wireless remote lets you adjust fan speed and output mode from anywhere in the room.

Safe and Secure

Using window a/c makes it very easy for intruders to enter your home.  Ductless units mount high on a wall, away from the window, providing you with improved security and a pleasant view.
