Tankless Water Heaters

Produce more hot water using less energy than the most efficient storage tank style heater. Tankless is the environmentally responsible water heating solution. It saves energy, saves space and saves you money.

Endless Hot Water

Tankless water heaters heat the water you need, when you need it, turning any water source into hot water on demand. You are not limited to the amount a storage tank heater can hold. Whether you are washing the dishes, washing your clothes, or drawing a hot bath, tankless water heater technology will supply endless hot water to your lifestyle demands-even if it demands you do them all at once.

Tankless Cost Less

Estimated Annual Energy Cost

Reduced Energy Costs

With tankless water heaters, you will enjoy up to 40% energy savings. That’s the units World of Comfort uses are designed to be highly efficient and only heat water when it is needed. When the demand for hot water ceases, the unit shuts down and uses almost no energy, a revolutionary advantage over inefficient tank-style heaters.

Longevity

Tankless water heaters have a typical life of up to 20 years, when installed in residential applications. This can be twice as long as a tank style unit.

Clean, Fresh Water

Traditional tank-style water heaters can build up rust and scale inside their tank, where the hot water you use for bathing and drinking is stored. With tankless water heaters you will always experience fresh, clean water that is heated on demand, as it passes through the unit.

Space Savings

Traditional tank water heaters can take up to 16 square feet of valuable floor space. However, tankless water heaters are about the size of a carry-on suitcase and can be installed on virtually any wall inside or outside of your home.

Greater Capacity

Meeting increased hot water demands can be a challenge for traditional tank-style heaters, however, with innovative technology you’ll never run out of hot water.

Peace of Mind

With tankless water heaters, there’s no tank to leak or break.

How Tankless Works

Tankless units heat water only when you need it. So you save money and reduce waste by not heating and reheating the same tank of water.

  • Tankless water heaters are placed in-line like a conventional tank-style heater. However, it does not continuously heat a tank of water that is waiting to be used.
  • When opening a hot water tap, or starting the dishwasher, the tankless water heater recognizes the need for hot water and starts the heating process.
  • The temperature of the incoming water is used to calculate how much heat the burners must produce to deliver water at the desired temperature. This instant calculation maximizes the burners’ efficiency.
  • When the demand for hot water ceases the unit shuts down and uses no energy, waiting until more hot water is needed.
  • This results in hot water that is not limited to what’s available in your tank, so you always have clean, hot water when you want it for as long as you need it!

Sequence of operation

  1. A hot water tap is opened such as a kitchen / bath faucet, shower, tub or washing machine
  2. The tankless water heater detects the call for hot water when the water flows through
  3. The water flow turbine sends a signal to the control board which looks at multiple factors:
    1. Incoming water temperature
    2. Desired water temperature as set on the temperature controller
    3. Calculated difference between the two temperatures
  4. Depending on the calculated incoming and desired water temperatures, the gas flow into the burner assembly is modulated
  5. The electronic ignition sequence begins
  6. Water is heated to the desired temperature as it circulates through the heat exchanger providing endless hot water
  7. When the hot water tap is turned off, the tankless water heater sequentially shuts down and is placed in a standby mode pending the next call for hot water

Installation Options

Tankless water heaters offer almost limitless installation options. They are about the size of a carry-on suitcase. They can be installed out-of-the-way on virtually any wall inside or outside of your home or building-even in a garage or laundry room.

Interior Installations

Interior units vent directly to the outside and use our unique concentric venting system that only requires one penetration for both intake and exhaust. This maximizes safety using minimal space.

Exterior Installations

Exterior units require no venting and can even be installed in a recessed enclosure, flush with the outer wall. They can be painted or textured to match the exterior of your home, for a clean, inconspicuous appearance.

High Hot Water Demands

Tankless water heaters can work alone, in pairs, or in banks of three or more. Our control systems will manage all of your hot water needs.
